Artist's Comments

My first attempt at Photo-Manipulation. It was trial and plenty of errors but I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I wish it could have been larger but I'm still getting the ins and outs worked out as to how to make the back ground larger.

Critiques

wow, where do I begin? When you look at the whole image, it appears to busy yet peaceful. The lighting on the flowers, ship, and moon cause your eye to travel up, ending on the woman. The touch of reddish/brown in the middle puts a barrier between calm and the storm. I find after you take in the entire picture you are pulled toward the pure clean light that is illuminating from the ship. I also like the way the light is reflected off the rocks which draws you to the ship. The image of her could actually be a dream projected from the sailor on the ship.
Sorry, I am not the best at precise words but this is a wonder work of manipulation. Good job!

You have done a really great job Pat. I think perhaps the boat is too small but I couldn't write a full critique...

You did a really good job with it and it's only your first? Wow! :)

Roz, I think you are right about the size of the ship. I made it a little larger and I think it looks much better. Thanks.
